In order to drive a motorhome (weighing over 3.5 tonnes) you will need to have C1 licence. Those who have passed their driving test after 1996 will need to apply for a C1 licence and will require a D4 medical. Those aged over 70 will need to complete a driver medical at 70 years to extend C1 entitlement for another 3 years.
On the day of your medical
You will be greeted by one of our GMC registered doctors who will conduct the medical. The medical will involve an eye test, medical history, medication listing and blood pressure test. The HGV medical should take around 10-15minutes and you will be given the complete D4 form at the end of the D4 medical.
